Roles and responsibilities

Andrew leads the financial strategy for BBC Design & Engineering as well as managing the overall financial and operational performance, investment prioritisation and financial and operational compliance of the division, in partnership with the Chief Technology and Product Officer who leads BBC Design & Engineering.

Biography

Andrew ed the BBC as Finance Director BBC Technology, Distribution & Archives and oversaw the reorganisation of this division in 2015 as BBC Engineering. During 2015, Andrew was part of the integration team that brought together BBC Digital, Engineering and BBC Worldwide technology teams into one organisation, BBC Design & Engineering.

Following the successful launch of the new division in April 2016, Andrew was appointed as the Finance Director for BBC Design & Engineering. After further changes to the organisational structure in mid-2017, Andrew assumed the operational responsibilities of D&E, becoming the Finance & Operations Director. This includes leading the Business Management & istration teams, along with the relevant operational domain responsibilities (Performance, Governance, Compliance & Change) across D&E.

Before ing the BBC, Andrew spent 24 years with IBM Australia and New Zealand, and most recently held the roles of COO and prior to that CFO of IBM Global Business Services, which is IBMs consulting, systems integration and application management services division.

Andrew is a Fellow of A Australia.
