Murder arrest over Exmouth garden death

Devon and Cornwall Police said detectives arrested a man on suspicion of murder on Monday

Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of murder as part of an ongoing investigation in Devon.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the arrest took place on Monday and followed inquiries into the death of a man in Exmouth.

Police said: "A 26-year-old man from Exmouth remains in police custody where he will be interviewed by detectives."

Officers were called at about 00:45 on 31 May after they received reports a 24-year-old man had been assaulted and found in a garden at a property at Ashfield Close, Exmouth.
