Woman in critical condition after Castlerock crash

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward

A woman in her 40s is in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash in Castlerock in County Londonderry.

The one-vehicle crash on the Mussenden Road was reported to police just after 06:00 BST on Saturday.

Police said they believe the crash, involving a silver Ford Focus, happened sometime between 00:40 and 06:00.

The woman was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition, police said.

Police have appealed for anyone with information or who was travelling on the road in the early hours of Saturday to come forward.
