Crews attend wildfire at Edinburgh's Blackford Hill

Fire crews have been called out for a second time to a wildfire at Blackford Hill in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said they were alerted after smoke was seen billowing across the area on Friday.

Four engines were sent to the scene and crews were stood down overnight.

However, one appliance was sent back on Saturday morning after reports the fire had restarted.

The blaze comes as an extreme warning has been put in place with the fire service urging the public to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.
