Wycliffe man uses boat as Whorlton bridge closed

A man has resorted to using a rowing boat to cross a river as a nearby bridge remains closed.

Whorlton Suspension Bridge closed for repairs in 2019 and is yet to reopen.

Eddie Peat, who lives in Wycliffe, County Durham, said he uses a boat to cross the River Tees to visit his mother and run errands.
