Watch: CCTV shows man go to pub after murder

CCTV footage has shown the moment a man went to the pub after murdering his estranged ex-wife

Mark Donovan had a drink at The Blue Lion, in Great Baddow, Essex, before discarding his victim's phone in a toilet.

The 40-year-old then visited two massage parlours and ordered a Chinese takeaway before handing himself in at a police station, where he continued eating noodles.

On Friday, a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court found him guilty of murdering Elise Mason, 37, on 25 April 2023.

A trial heard Donovan used a lamp to inflict more than 70 injuries on Ms Mason at the home they previously shared in Rothmans Avenue, Great Baddow.

He will be sentenced on 5 March.
