Lamb initially looked to be feeling his right hand after being hit by a Jordan Clark lifter but also looked in some discomfort with his shoulder. Given he spent time on the sidelines with a shoulder injury last year it will be fingers crossed it is not serious.
That concern apart, the home side will be happy enough with their efforts although missing out on a fourth batting point was frustrating, Surrey tying them down to under 400 in 110 overs.

Northants are off to a flier in their first innings at Derbyshire. They're 117-0 with Ricardo Vasconcelos and Luke Procter shining.
Leicestershire keep taking Lancashire wickets at crucial times. The hosts are 235-6 at Old Trafford, and Luke Wells has resumed batting after retiring hurt earlier.
Glamorgan took a couple of Middlesex wickets just before tea - Max Holden was out for 107 and Ryan Higgins went for a single. Middlesex are 256-4 and leading by 57.
They're still playing at Kent with the home side 181-5 in reply to Gloucestershire's 472 all out. Ben Compton has 79.

It's got quite gloomy here again. The afternoon started with some sunshine but by 3.30pm the lights were on as low, dark cloud drifted in.
On a day where they are playing 104 overs, to try and claw back eight of the overs lost to bad light yesterday, I am not sure how much more action we will see, unless this greyness moves on through.
Yorkshire will be happy to be in the dressing room though because they have struggled with the ball today. Alex Lees has 139 and Emilio Gay 74.
They have put on 202 runs in 284 balls and if they can score three more runs they will break the Durham record, for a second wicket stand against Yorshire.
That was 204 scored by Michael Di Venuto and Will Smith here in 2009.

Jordan Cox has just come down the pitch, he's tried to hoick that and it's gone straight to the fielder.
The theme of this game is every time you think a batter is getting on top, a wicket is just around the corner.
For Worcestershire they would dearly love that wicket to be Paul Walter although they'll be pretty happy to see the back of Cox I fancy.

Quiet progress from Notts but that's fine. They'll be aware that conditions still favour the bowlers and know the damage someone like Olly Hannon-Dalby can do.
They've kept the returning Bears talisman at arm's length so far.
Until the final ball of his fourth over that gives Ben Slater a touch of width and the left-hander goes up on to his toes and pumps it gloriously off the back foot through the covers.

Tom Haines has played superbly well. He's been kept quiet today.
Surrey won't mind where they are in this at the moment. I think they've done a very good job today but that was a super innings from Haines.
He will score a lot of runs in Division One because to me he looks very organised, knows his game and knows where his scoring areas are.
Sussex don't want to lose their way here because this is a good pitch to bat on and we've seen what hard work it has been for Surrey to pick up the six wickets.

Jordan Cox has just hit successive boundaries - but with contrasting control - off Tom Taylor.
The first nicely steered through gully along the floor to the fence.
The second a lucky outside edge that would've interested third slip - had there been one.
There has been one for most of the innings but with Essex now building a lead, Pears skipper Brett D'Oliveira is understandably getting a tad less aggressive.
Paul Walter continues to tick along. He's nearing a half-ton.

Haines b Atkinson 174 (Sussex 379-6 v Surrey)
Big inside edge on to his stumps.
Tom Haines batted brilliantly both yesterday and this morning/afternoon but that is a tired shot, swinging his bat at a wide one from Gus Atkinson and dragging it on to his leg stump.
Credit to Surrey's bowlers who have laboured away on an unhelpful deck. That is a third for Atkinson.
