This has been all power snooker. I can't see Luca Brecel doing it with the way Judd Trump is playing.

Judd Trump and Luca Brecel both on 91% pot success.

Not sure I've ever seen that down my local snooker club.

The lads are back, and Trump has a chance...

Trump is just on another level at present. I fear for people who have tickets for Monday night. They may not see any snooker the way he is playing.

    O’Sullivan 11-9 Si

We have all seen this from O'Sullivan many times and his gameplan may have been to just get to the weekend and then hope he finds his A game. But he has not played anything near his best tonight.

He looks miles off it. Still, you wouldn't be surprised to see him lift that trophy again would you? The reds are mashed across the table in this frame as Si picks up a miss.

Ronnie is playing high tariff snooker at the moment and that's a long way away. A long, long way away.

  6. Postpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 30 April

    O’Sullivan 11-9 Si

It's a head-scratcher of a shot from O'Sullivan, literally as he stands and surveys the damage left to the pack by an errant shot. Si knocks a red in but he's not been left with much.

The boys are back on the baize as Ronnie breaks off. What sort of interval has he had?

    Trump 12-8 Brcel

When Judd Trump needed it most, he was able to bring it best, that's the mark of a world number one.

  9. Trump one away from semi-finalspublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 30 April

    Trump 12-8 Brecel

There were times this afternoon when it looked as though Judd Trump would get blown away by Luca Brecel.

Trump hung in there, managed to stay level and has now moved up a gear with all four frames so far tonight to go one frame away from the last four.

He would play Mark Williams. Tasty.

Ronnie is unpredictable. He is showing brilliance but lots of bad stuff as well. This match is still alive.

Si is playing his best snooker of the tournament when he really needs it. And that's a good sign for he future.

Ronnie played a reckless shot to let him in with a strange double in that frame, it was a weird shot.

Scotty: Can someone get Si Jiahui a chalk pouch or sew a good pocket on his suit? He’s dropped that chalk multiple times every frame!!

    Judd Trump leads 11-8.

They are in opposite sides of the draw.

Thumbs up if it's your idea of the dream final. Down if not.

Tremendous shot, just tremendous! What character.

  20. Postpublished at 20:06 British Summer Time 30 April

    O’Sullivan 11-8 Si

WHAT a shot! Si cuts in a red from an improbable angle but has no real control over the white ball. He has no option but to take on an audacious long blue and slams it into the pocket!

    That was something.
